Yeah. Sounds good to me too.
Seven weeks ago, I wrote about my admiration for Cook Food: A Manualfesto for Easy, Healthy, Local Eating by Lisa Jervis. I've spent the intervening time experimenting with the recipes in the book, including a spicy version of the chili-style beans 'n' greens that I made a vat of last night and will surely be delighting in for the next week or so.
As I get active enjoyment out of the book, it's great to see Jervis interviewed by Jaclyn Friedman over at Salon today. "CliffNotes to the Food Revolution" looks at Jervis' interesting career turns, kitchen politics, and asks the pressing question--what if you support the local, organic food movement, but have a severely limited budget? Or limited time to cook?
As well: Look for Jervis' evaluation of the (strange, uncommon) food community in Detroit, after her recent visit here.
Related: Jervis is guest-blogging about food and food politics over at Feminsite. Definitely worth keeping up with.
