Louise Stern is a first-time author and long-time artist, an American living in London, and fourth-generation deaf. Chattering is a collection of short stories, published first by Granta and then by House of Anansi. I review it in my contribution to the latest issue of The Collagist.
Also in the new Collagist, check out fiction by Matthew Simmons ("Teenage Motorcycle and Love Tragedy Story"), poetry by Ross White ("Death, I Wish You"), nonfiction by Ryan Ridge ("American Literature"), a book review of Ventrakl from Josh Billings, a book review of Intention Implication Wind from J.A. Tyler, and a host of other great reads.
