I would love to be a regular listener of This American Life, but I'm sad to say that Mr. Glass's voice has the same ffect on me as fingernails on a chalkboard for most others. Not that that's a proper excuse, but it's enough of one to keep me from regularly tuning in.

I prefer Talk of the Nation, especially Science Fridays. That and the "This I believe" series running on Morning Addition for the past few months is a nice inspiring way to get the day going.

  • Isak is a space to celebrate tales and truth in the curious, joyful way embodied by the writer for which it is named. The name "Isak," after all, means "laughter," as she was fond of pointing out.

By tales, I mean fiction (especially short fiction), as well as other literary and artistic narratives. By truth, I mean the world in which we live. I especially have my eye on creative social justice.
