Congratulations on returning to Prison! That's not something you get to say to anyone much...alright, it's something you never get to say to anyone.

It's nice to know that your passion for helping others find their voice has not been extinguished. Best of luck in the new environment and with the new style of mentorship.

Thanks for the kind words, Ben! I'll let you know how it goes...it'll be a few months before I actually get inside. So for now I'll just be sitting tight...and, it seems, speaking in cliches....

Isak

  • Isak is a space to celebrate tales and truth in the curious, joyful way embodied by the writer for which it is named. The name "Isak," after all, means "laughter," as she was fond of pointing out.

By tales, I mean fiction (especially short fiction), as well as other literary and artistic narratives. By truth, I mean the world in which we live. I especially have my eye on creative social justice.
