Hmm...I've never given much consideration to giving warning when I'm not going to be blogging for a while. Like you I've seen it done in very silly situations like a half-day absence. I also have privacy concerns where if I am actually going away I don't want to advertise that my house is vacant nor where I'm going to be. But most of the time my inactivity on the blog is unplanned just because I get writer's block or get caught up in something else.

Of course it doesn't matter much because I don't have much of a readership.

  • Isak is a space to celebrate tales and truth in the curious, joyful way embodied by the writer for which it is named. The name "Isak," after all, means "laughter," as she was fond of pointing out.

    By tales, I mean fiction (especially short fiction), as well as other literary and artistic narratives. By truth, I mean the world in which we live. I especially have my eye on creative social justice.
