I was thinking about you on Sunday while the rally was going on. I almost brought myself to driving out to Battle Creek to see Obama during the summer, but just couldn't make the time.

How fortunate and enviable of you to be able to attend the rally!

Yeah, it really was fun, though hot and crowded, and I didn't get the high-five from a candidate that I really wanted. One lady came close to fainting, and Obama tossed her his water bottle. I was so jealous :)

If/when he comes back to Battle Creek, it'd be interesting to see how they adapt what they say. Hope you get a chance to tell me all about it!

  • Isak is a space to celebrate tales and truth in the curious, joyful way embodied by the writer for which it is named. The name "Isak," after all, means "laughter," as she was fond of pointing out.

By tales, I mean fiction (especially short fiction), as well as other literary and artistic narratives. By truth, I mean the world in which we live. I especially have my eye on creative social justice.
