I love this. Esp the one about decapitated females on covers -- and the quote thing. I wondered why my pub. didn't put a quote on my cover, and now I realize why -- and it's a good reason!

This is great...conversation between readers and publishers needs to occur and be encouraged. I am out of the loop right now, and I'm glad I heard about these exchanges

Apparently Twitter now has a bug that thousands of users don't appear in search and hashtags aren't being indexed properly. So the #dearpublisher conversation is actually much bigger than it looks like, because a lot of people are trying to add to it but are blocked out. Hope Twitter will fix this issue soon (right now they don't even acknolwedge it, it looks like)

What an obnoxious glitch -- I hope it's remedied soon, and even more, I hope that someone is collecting a full archive of the #dearpublisher conversation. Too valuable and interesting to lose.

Isak

  • Isak is a space to celebrate tales and truth in the curious, joyful way embodied by the writer for which it is named. The name "Isak," after all, means "laughter," as she was fond of pointing out.

By tales, I mean fiction (especially short fiction), as well as other literary and artistic narratives. By truth, I mean the world in which we live. I especially have my eye on creative social justice.
