« Isak Interview #13: Weslie Onsando | Main | Top Five Week: Read These Plays »

June 13, 2011

Man, oh man, Anna, thanks for this. My podcasts get me through the commute to and from work every day. Just went to the NYr fiction and picked loads of goodies: Wolff reading Johnson, Ozick reading Millhauser, Saunders reading Babel. I am STOKED.

Happy to oblige, Stacy! I have to admit that I'm something of a podcast fiend ... if you have recs of your own, I'd love to hear them. Especially because over at Goodreads, I pay special attention to what your reading -- I love your taste. :)

  • Isak is a space to celebrate tales and truth in the curious, joyful way embodied by the writer for which it is named. The name "Isak," after all, means "laughter," as she was fond of pointing out.

By tales, I mean fiction (especially short fiction), as well as other literary and artistic narratives. By truth, I mean the world in which we live. I especially have my eye on creative social justice.
