I'm horrified too. I'm also horrified that it takes a famous football coach and the rape of little boys to get sexual assault into the news. The stats are fuzzy but according to NIH 1 in 6 females in America has been/will be the victim of sexual assault. Every day about 10 times as many females are sexually assaulted and no one pays much attention. It seems that our society values little boys more than females of any age. Am I the only person who thinks this is wrong?

I enjoy your work, here and at Grantland.

Thank you, Al.

Isak

  • Isak is a space to celebrate tales and truth in the curious, joyful way embodied by the writer for which it is named. The name "Isak," after all, means "laughter," as she was fond of pointing out.

By tales, I mean fiction (especially short fiction), as well as other literary and artistic narratives. By truth, I mean the world in which we live. I especially have my eye on creative social justice.
