Whoa - that's some image! Is the first erotica imagery on Isak? Very Erte-esque...

But what I REALLY wanted to write back about was the Feynman graphic novel (wait, did I just say that --- that a comic book about a physicist was somehow more important than gorgeious art about sex.... god I'm such a nerd!) Anyway, thought you'd want to know that the author is a Michiganian - works at the U of M library (after a career as a nuclear physicist, and we've severl mutual friends. Furthermore, Cecil wrote a song about feynman which premiered at the author's reading of the book in NYC. Small, small world - but mostly a nice note on the amazing bit of comics talent in Michigan (along with the author and artist of MouseGuard, Cynicalman, Glenn Barr, and others....)

Isak

  • Isak is a space to celebrate tales and truth in the curious, joyful way embodied by the writer for which it is named. The name "Isak," after all, means "laughter," as she was fond of pointing out.

By tales, I mean fiction (especially short fiction), as well as other literary and artistic narratives. By truth, I mean the world in which we live. I especially have my eye on creative social justice.
