How much will the book be selling for?

How will the book sales proceeds be distributed? And what? ..... no complimentary copies given to the authors?

Hi Brass,

Contributors WILL receive a complimentary copy of the book -- I updated this post to reflect that. The book will sell for, I believe, $20. Book proceeds largely go to the publisher, with a percentage of them to the editor of the anthology.

Thanks for your interest, and please let me know if you have further questions!

Good afternoon, Anna,

I am interested in submitting poetry for the anthology. Are there any criteria for length, form, etc.?

Hi Mark,

No requirements on length or form -- just the general rule that writing should be whatever it needs to be excellent, and no more! I may work with some writers on editing accepted pieces after the submission deadline.

Good afternoon Anna,

I just emailed my personal essay for your consideration. Can you do me a small favor and confirm your receipt of it? Thank you.

Hi Paul,

I sent you an email yesterday confirming I got the submission. Thanks so much for your interest!

Anna

Isak

  • Isak is a space to celebrate tales and truth in the curious, joyful way embodied by the writer for which it is named. The name "Isak," after all, means "laughter," as she was fond of pointing out.

By tales, I mean fiction (especially short fiction), as well as other literary and artistic narratives. By truth, I mean the world in which we live. I especially have my eye on creative social justice.
